Preface...

Dear Friend...

This is one of my creations which I wish to leave behind for those of you who wish to know me better. The following is a book of twenty compositions ( growing by the day ) which portray the times I’ve been through life.
It portrays both the happy and the sad phases of my life, though the sad ones are more than the happy times. Its life I’ve got to face, and which I’ve done so with my entire satisfaction yet.
The main reason for making this small secret of mine public is to help others to overcome situations that I’ve been in, and to help them face life in a nobler sense.

The instructions for using this book are as follows:
Whenever you feel let down by the person you love the dearest, or
You feel that you’re being taken for a ride, or
You are left alone with none to confide in, or
You have suicidal tendencies, and much more situations (negative) that you might face in
your happy years ahead, then spare some time to read thru.

The main point which I wish you to heed is that after reading the book compare your position with that of mine, and realize that you’re in a much better position than me, and I can overcome such a phase in his life then why cant you?

If still you do not manage to come out of your difficult times, confide in some one or even something, and if having none to confide in is the problem what you are facing then confide in god, cause he never leaves your side and he is the best friend you can have.

May god bless you all and have a nice day.
LOVE EVERYONE cause
COLOURS MAY FADE, BUILDINGS MAY COLLAPSE, FLOWERS
MAY WILT, BUT LOVE SURVIVES.
and Always Remember

“If you write about the things that you can’t control, it makes it a little bearable”. -Anon
and thats the idea i am living...

19. Saga of Loneliness.

The day has passed, yet another year,
And still I am, without my dear,
I choose to write, for that’s all I can do,
Poems are the pastime I look forward to.

I had resolved, that by this V-day,
I shall be happy, in my own spring of May,
But 2 months seldom offer enough time,
And whenever I saw her, I stood like a mime.

I just didn’t have, the courage in me,
I feared to ask her, if she’d be,
Mine for the ages and aeons to come,
For I feared that, I’d look like a bum.

The fear of rejection, doesn’t bother me,
For I have the very thing, as my destiny,
It’s the fear of loosing a friend that I dread,
And hence I keep sewing, without a thread.

I keep making friends at every inch,
Just like a sewing machine sewing a stitch,
The only difference that I come to see,
Is that I don’t bind their hearts to me.

Till this day, all that I have done,
Is made friends a many, and a lover none,
I never did regret this, not even once,
But now I do, for the fear of loosing my chum.

So then, what did I decide to do?
I let her go, just as the wise men said to do,
They said that if we were meant to be,
The day shall come, when her I’ll get to see.
Not as a friend but my lasting love to be..

So here I wait, for my love to be back,
And I have stopped making resolutions that I have to sack,
I must be patient, for that’s the key,
And I shall be a happy man ………… eventually.

The saga shall continue………………………well,…………hopefully.

18. Tips 4 a happy living.

Happiness is the armor that makes us survive,
All the harshness that the world provides,
Happiness is the clothing of the peaceful world,
Which keeps us warm when the worlds cold.

Here I say the tips to thee,
I want you to follow, for it was followed by me,
It made me feel good, really good you see,
It’s a great feeling when you face the world smilingly.

There is no one quite like you, you see,
Not even your brother, your friend, or me,
So to be of the maximum help,
Don’t copy anyone just be yourself.

For the divine created you with a purpose,
If not then he’d have made you in surplus,
So say to yourself, “ the world needs me”.
And without me it cannot be.

There will be limitations in you and me,
That was the way he wanted us to be,
So love one and love all,
Don’t let your limitations make you fall.

Love yourself and you shall see,
The divine being you were meant to be,
For you are a color, and colors tend,
To mix with others and make a rare blend.

Each day is filled with many choice,
To select the good, select them with poise,
Use your time and energy shrewd,
Trust yourself, even if you are crude.

Trust your inner wisdom, your conscience,
Trust it because it values moral science,
Listen to that quiet voice within you tell,
Which of the choice for you is swell.

Then there are experiences, good and bad,
There are the ones that are really sad,
All experiences are teachers to be,
For it teaches what to do and when, to thee.

Encourage yourself, and heed right,
To all the challenges that life might,
Bring along, heed and you shall see,
That you are thru’ in a flash to be.

The world is really a beautiful place,
With it undying endless pace,
Enjoy yourself, and open your heart,
Lest you regret some day that you part,
Without seeing the life’s lot.

Enjoy nature, its sights and sounds,
Which are limitless, without any bounds,
And if at some point shortsighted you do become,
Remember this, time once lost will never come.

We have the greatest gift of life,
The one which creates much hype,
Go ahead, go a little further,
Celebrate yourself and initiate the merger.

Honor your every victory and achievement,
And in the course try to be tolerant,
If at some point you feel depressed,
Look back at life the good distance you’ve already tread.

Take time to visualize things important to you,
But at the same time think of others too,
Others are as important as you and me,
Express yourself, and be true to thee.

Express yourself, large and small,
And love everyone, one and all,
It would be easier for you to find,
A way of living that reflects you and the world which binds.

Within you there’s much to do,
Try doing it and try it true,
The only limits are those that you place on your own self,
Break all limits, challenge yourself.

By challenging yourself,
You’ll experience a world new,
Known only to the chosen few,
Complete with the drops of dew.

No one knows better than you,
What does happiness mean to you,
Go ahead and give yourself a treat,
And head for the happiness retreat.

Do not ever rely upon others that they,
Would bring in happiness for you,
You are the only one who can make,
Your deepest wishes come true.

Life is a precious gift and yet,
Hardly does anyone know, of whom I’ve met,
Instead of delighting in its pleasures,
People criticize it by measures.

Accept yourself, you should do,
With all your strength and shortcomings too,
No one’s perfect in this earth,
As we all ride in the lower berth.

A smile, a kind word, a helping hand,
Can really act as a magic wand,
Share yourself, bring a smile,
And let the person remember until he crosses the final mile.

Make a connection, however brief,
Help someone shed away his grief,
The light of love then shall be shining bold,
In the little corner of your world.

Thoughtfulness is a wonderful gift,
And it is real generous to give a person a helping lift,
At the same time do remember, you have needs too,
So go ahead and nurture yourself too.

As you blossom, your world would too,
Joy will take every step with you,
And in spring a fragrance will waft,
Which will cure every sick heart.

The final frontier, Adieus amigos

17. The Penultimate Sonnet.

Tomorrows chocolate day,
But I’ll waste the day away,
Its not that I hate to go,
I can’t stand the pressure, you know.

I’ve not healed completely yet,
Cannot stand the sight of emotion or heart melt,
I wasn’t always like this though,
I was me until you let me go.

I try to hide, O so I try,
I walk alone, so that my heart may dry,
Dry heart is not new for me,
‘Twas the way always meant to be.

I could relieve myself a bit,
If at least someone bothers to sit,
But the day whizzes by, no ones here,
All I have for company is my only fear.

I tried to get to people though,
I tried the ones I hardly know,
They were patient, they did listen,
Or at least they pretended so.

By the end of day, as the night draws near,
The heart still keeps entertaining its fear,
It’s a weak one, can’t control it,
All I can do is just let it beat.

The titles sonnet and I ramble on,
As the poem, the significance of my life is gone,
A sonnet you know must end on seven,
As for my life, I wonder when?

16. Back to Square 1.

Here I sit lone again,
All my efforts have been in vain,
I tried my level best though,
All but my beloved, seem to know.

I try my best to calm my heart,
But it’s the most difficult part,
The heart is sore, it really is,
What was once hers, is again his.

Here I sit and my heart simmers,
And with each passing minute the hope grows dimmer,
And I come to realize this,
Once a loser always is.

I am short of friends to turn to,
For all I know are already two,
I fear them for a simple reason,
Lest I spoil their love season.

It’s in my fate you see,
Even after having so many friends,
A loner I shall always be,
All due to the grace of thee.

The only thing am thankful for,
Is for your best gift of all,
You’ve given me a reason, a pain,
For which I shall be happy to love again.

The poems harsh, it’s very rude,
It wouldn’t have, had you been prude,
But with a heart all I could do is brood,
About why did god make me so crude?

15. My Life So Far...

It’s been only two days now,
My beloved broke my heart and how,
For once I thought my life was bland,
But that wasn’t how god had planned.

He sent me goodness by the ton,
One for each and every pun,
He showed me that living life, the way I’ve done,
Was all, but minus the fun.

It is true it really is,
That when one door shuts other is,
Opened somewhere, somehow,
And it is left for us to know
But people look at former so long,
And not long before the latter’s gone,
I was lucky to have got thru this,
In my entirety, with nothing amiss.

Though not all people do,
All people are not as lucky as me and you,
But all well that ends well,
And in my the case the end was swell.

I think I might have healed a bit,
Regained a little part of my wit,
Its good for me to heal so fast,
Cause the time before, a year it did last.

Although I may seem in a better frame,
The reference however remains the same,
Being almost killed in this worlds game,
I think I’ve found myself a name.

I was better a little sore,
Writing this poem has deteriorated me more,
So now I shall try to end,
Lest me to grave it sends.

Kabhie gham, kabhie khushi……… funny world ai’nt it?

14. Heartbreak.

I live until this day to be,
A person who values humanity,
But dark clouds now over the horizon appear,
And cause my sun to forever disappear.

The clouds are dark, as most of them are,
They cover even the brightest star,
When not even heaven can penetrate them,
How do you expect us to? We’re mere men.

The moments are tough, the beloved parts,
Breaking the beloving of his heart,
He says nothing, he’s a male you see,
Cause males aren’t allowed to cry in this society.

Who can he turn to, there are none so near,
Not even one now, who he could address, “dear”,
And then comes true his greatest fear,
And draws his end, Oh so so near.

The beloved is happy, she’s free at last,
Happy to have done the cruelest part,
She dances away into the night,
And he fights death with all his might.

He survives the death, unlike heroes you see,
And comforts himself by saying “she didn’t deserve thee”.
But deep down inside his heart he knows,
She’s the only woman to whom he bows.

Look at the good part of this he tells,
At least she’s happy and thinks everything’s well,
And the only sad part though,
I may not be able to think of anyone else wherever I go.

That was the dark part as you can see,
But as all dark clouds have silver lining to be,
The linings silver, the linings free,
And its yours even if you don’t want it to be.

As for my luck, the luck with the dot,
I hoped for a silver lining and a copper I got,
You cant choose the things which you get for free,
And as for me, I got ten whole years of misery.

I do not generalize the entire blame,
Only if she’d come to me, sooner than she came,
We could have worked things out I think,
But now she’s away in the flash of a blink.

And people say men are cruel, men don’t feel,
You give the verdict, my fate you seal,
Was I unjust to my dear?
Who was the only person I really felt near.

So you are the jury, you decide,
You may even scold and you may chide,
I don’t even care for your verdict, your opinion on what you see,
For I very well know I was true to me.

Then when you have a clear heart, why so much fuss?
The reason is this, and it goes thus,
She didn’t give me the reason for my heartbreak,
And I couldn’t imagine what mistake I did make.

Its so simple as none can see,
Even with a clear heart it is difficult to be,
When you don’t even know what wrong you’ve done,
And you feel you’re being punished just for the fun.

I don’t blame anyone, I really don’t care,
But I’d appreciate the reason if you’d dare,
I’ll accept it for any thing as bland as can be,
Please let me know dear, please let me,
For after this, who knows, I may be able to die free.

Always sadness……..always gham .

13. In Search of a True Friend - A journey.

In this weary world where everything’s amiss,
Which makes people yearn, even for a kiss,
In this journey of life, which we walk more or less,
We need a friend to drive away loneliness.

It’s a friend you need, who shall help you heed,
To the finer points of the worlds title deed.
A friend is a must, a person needs,
At least one, when the harsh world kneads.

For without a friend, a mummy would do,
For mummies are dead,
And without one,
You’d be too.

Its fun to be with an ally,
Let it be Kate moss, or Sally,
Friends always think for your own good,
And some will lay down their lives for you, if they should.

True, such friends are a real hard find,
The ones with rare and beautiful mind,
The ones who’d do anything for you,
They really don’t care how much they hurt, and who.

The friend mentioned in the lines above,
Should you manage to find somehow,
Do hold on, Cause if not, they too shall be gone,
And you’d be left at the start, right where you belong.

True friends are the rarest things to come along,
They help you dance, they help you sing a song,
And if depression overcomes you,
They’ll be there to help you see through.

Such are the advantages of a true friend,
Who help you to score, who help you defend,
So why not yourself, a true friend to some one be?
And set an example for the aeons to see.

Just wanting to Compose.

12. Fifteen Interludes of Life.

O dear people, hear what I have to say,
Why waste living life this way,
Remove from the world all the strife,
And go by the following 15 interludes of life.

The first one is short, as you will see,
Wealth is not for person to be,
Don’t go for wealth, it can deceive,
Don’t be hung up on looks, it fades away,
Go in for someone who makes you smile everyday,
For smiles a sure thing which is quite right,
For it’s the thing that makes a dark day, bright.

Two is a wish from me to you,
May you find happiness in everything you do,
May you have everything from happiness, trials and even sorrow.
And may never you’d need to borrow,
For borrowing distances people from me,
And so neither a borrower nor a lender be.

Threes a saying I’d like you to heed,
When happiness ceases at the prime hour of need,
Open yourself to the person you trust,
Let it be anyone, even a dog if it must,
Also remember this, my dear,
If one doors shut it means another near,
Has opened for you, try to see it, try to ease,
Stop looking at the door which has closed, please.

Fours another word of wisdom,
But realized by people, seldom.
For you to realize what you’ve got,
The thing that you have has to be lost,
Also the reverse is true you see,
You do not know what you’ve been missing for eternity,
Until it comes along some day,
And changes your entire way.

Five is the wisdom to have a word,
But before you do,
Step into the other persons shoe,
If it hurts you,
Then it probably hurts the other person too.

From six ‘tis the rules for love,

Let your lover be themselves, somehow,
Even if you are embarrassed, don’t mind,
Just put up with them and show them you’re kind,
For if you twist your lovers to be,
Something you wanted for eternity,
Then my dear you are mistaken,
The person you love is your own reflection.

The seventh is the one for broken hearts,
If with your lover you had to part,
Do not worry, just remember this,
God wants the choice to be his,
He’s our father, a person great,
Who tests our patience,
Who makes us wait,
Waiting is good for it’s a great healer,
And eventually when you’d find that a’pealer,
You’d have some one to be thankful for,
No it’s not me, its god.

Eight is a definition of the word love,
How do I know it? my god ,how?
Here’s the answer simple and straight,
It is the feeling that the other persons great,
Even after subtracting the feeling, the passion, the romance,
You feel that still you’re in a trance.
Then its love for sure my dear,
Else you wouldn’t be in the right place, right now, right here.

Nine is the time it takes to be,
Infatuation --a minute,
Like --an hour,
Love --a day,
But to forget some one it takes eternity.

Tens the number of sorrow and pain,
The saddest thing in this game,
When you meet some one, oh so very dear,
And comes true your worst worst fear,
You find that he has no feelings for you,
And you don’t know what to do,
You are left there standing, feeling hurt,
How can your beloved be so curt?
That’s the sad part, the saddest one, so….
You don’t know whether to stay or to let go.

With eleven begins a new decade,
Which tells you more of the love brigade,
It tells you how it starts and how it ends,
These things are ideal, without any bends,
Love is supposed to start with a smile,
A kiss develops it for miles and miles,
But the truth is in the worst of all fear,
It always has to end in a tear.

Twelve is a good number, I don’t know why,
I just happen to like it by and by ,
The greatest thing with love though,
It comes to the people, who have hopes,
It comes to the people, who stay so still,
Even though they’ve been let down by many, against their will,
So everybody, listen to what I’ve to say,
Even you shall find someone some day,
Then you shall be the happiest man,
With hope you score, you always can.

Thirteen an unlucky number you see,
For all it brings is pain, hurt and malady,
Remember dear people, remember this,
The most excruciating of pain that ever is,
Is borne by the people, who wait and wait,
And don’t let their beloved know how they feel of late,
I know of this pain, have been thru’ this,
Believe me this is the worst that ever is.
So my friends gather guts,
And relieve your heart or it will drive you nuts,
Even in the outcome if you come to lose,
You’d have a variety from which you could choose.

Fourteen is exactly half of seven,
It teaches people of good livin’,
Love makes you blind as a bat in the day,
And you yearn for words you wish your beloved would say,
You may not hear any from him though,
But don’t turn a deaf ear to the friend you know,
For he may say those exact words, better still from the heart,
And you not heeding may break it apart,
So why do you wish to lose a friend,
A person who’s there for you in each and every bend.

Fifteens here, the last of the lot,
It tells what you should do and what you should not,
It repeats a part of history for this,
Which we all know and yet, we miss,
You were born crying it told,
And as you cried, everyone smiled,
To give you a welcome into this world.
It further adds to the poem you see,
It wants you to lead a good life to be,
A good person whom everyone will miss,
When his soul departs and everything’s amiss,
Let go of your life with a smile, it tells,
Let everyone realize what a person in you dwelled,
It will make their eyes water, not sorrow you see,
But because of the joy for having known thee.

Transformed into a poem.
Original script in Bombay times “ Times of India dated 31/10/2000.”

11. Love and Discrimination.

Here I am writing again,
Typing away mercilessly,
Without feeling the pain,
The pain was never mine you see,
For its’ the keyboards date with destiny.

I think of the people that I know,
And dream about far away places to go,
But friends are few,
And so are the places,
The supports due,
And people fake us.

There are people, whom we love,
We say its true love you see,
But take time to think again,
Is it not because he resembles, he.

For when we do love people, right,
We do not see how he’s bright,
The only thing that comes to bind,
Is the persons beautiful mind.

Now I just happen to know,
Some one who did love a crow,
But crows are ugly, crows are black,
They doubt the person, what did he lack?

The person is not to be doubted you see,
He was just as good as you and me,
The only thing that was good in this being,
Was he saw the beauty in everything.

That’s a quality very much rare,
Cause in this world,
Only the self conscious fare,
So my dear do you really care?

Think of the crow again and see,
What a magnificent bird he can be,
Not all see the beauty in you and me,
So why discriminate destiny.

The judgments same for you and me,
One day we all shall return to thee,
For such inevitable is death, you see.
And who knows in your next life a crow you’d be.

And so my dear friends, love everyone alike,
When to the creator it didn’t strike,
To discriminate among his children to be,
And make hell of the world instantly.

So love everyone and expect no return,
For expectation brings only heart burn,
Love every person, animal and thing,
And make god proud to have created your inner being.

With a jovial yet wounded heart

10. Silly Symphony.

Here I sit on this stupid computer,
Here I sit and here I splutter
With no ideas for a poem,
Which I’ve got to write and show em.

So I type away in random,
Whatever words come to me in tandem,
And then I look at the screen and stare,
Ahoy there, ahoy there.

The words do rhyme, but there’s no meanin’
But still the words keep coming, unceasin’
And like a fool I do keep writin’
And on my leg a mosquito is bitin’.

And it seems I’ve composed a rap,
Which is full of bull shit crap,
Now its over and I have an even tougher job,
To find a suitable title for the ode.

Titles are tough, titles should match,
With the contents of the poem,
Which here is crap,
So what better a name would be,
Except to call it silly symphony.
Disney would sue me for using the name,
But hey, alls fair in this worlds game,
Sue me if you should,
Sue me if you could,
But let me warn you before you would,
You would get nothing from me you see,
Since poets in this world are all paupers to be.

A tribute to all budding poets

9. Death.

The days among the youth have passed,
All things accumulated seems to be lost,
Now at such time nothing seems certain,
Except the stark fact to relieve your burden.

Death is certain, it certainly is,
For it’s the period in a persons hypothesis.
But life after death is more serene,
As me, myself and Irene.

Death is good, not bad you see,
For it is impartial to you and me,
We need not fear it, god forbid,
Cause fear is the root cause of all evil.

You may say that you love life,
But wait till you see what’s on the other side,
You’ll love it, whatever, believe me,
I don’t speak of things that I don’t personally see.

Its not that I’ve died before,
It’s the feeling that I’ve always wore,
Cause dead people are harmless you see,
People are friendly cause they don’t fear thee.

So my dear friends act dead and see,
How the world reaches out to thee,
Being dead though has its ups and down,
It’s the death that makes one a clown.

Cause a dead person doesn’t even care,
Of his looks, his body and all the hair,
All that he does care ,
Is others well being and welfare.

So my people, live and see,
A dead mans life just like me,
There are times when life’s all sore,
But you can come thru’ by saying “I exist no more”.

This is a pessimistic attitude you’d say,
But hey,
What does pessimism mean to a man,
Who has no ceiling, who has no fan,
So here’s a poem as pessimistic as can be,
Live life dead, live life like me.

On a pessimistically sad note

8. Sorrow.

In this hour of despair,
When the entire world is in warfare,
The only thing that may remain,
Is sorrow, the outcome of the game.

Sorrow is a small word you see,
But its effects lingers for ages to be,
It is bad for it destroys the soul,
And makes a person, more of a ghoul.

Sorrow also kills the heart,
It does so by breaking it part by part,
With the heart dead so is the person,
He lives, but not has a reason.

Sorrow in a lighter sense,
Hardens the heart and makes it tense,
Tense heart is not good you see,
That wasn’t the way god planned it for thee.
So when in sorrow, open up to friends.

It may not cure you to the fullest extent,
But sorrow diminishes by sharing we know,
And as the day passes by we all shall know,
That once a tough man ,
Need not always be,
That’s the greatest of the irony,
Sorrow gifts softness as a quality.

Share a sorrow gift peace.

7. Love and Pain.

In your heart, in your soul,
What do you have,
When you yearn for more?
The heart aches and the soul weeps,
And we feel within us the pain creep,
It’s always experienced by the lovers you see,
Pain was always theirs,
As meant to be,
Love brings pain and makes heart shudder,
And yet people do fall in love,
Which makes me wonder,
Why is it so that people prefer to be in pain,
When all it gives is suffering, no gain,
It’s the beauty in love that surpasses all pain,
Love is blind and so is the heart,
Which makes people unite,
Which makes them part,
But union is happy and light as vapors,
Parting pain brings tears, even to hard hearted capers,
So my friends “why love, if all it gives is pain?”
You may ask,
But isn’t it better to have loved and lost.
Love brings pain, inevitable you see,
But pain is one of the few qualities to be,
It gives you strength to face the world with a charming smile,
It gives you even that extra mile,
When you are in love the world ceases to be,
That’s a good thing which only lovers can see,
For with no world, also ceases misery...
So my dear friends, start falling in love today,
Love someone, so that not someday,
You may regret, you may cry,
For keeping the heart, oh, so so dry,
Dry heart is bad; it’s hard you see,
The way it wasn’t meant to be,
Love fills up the heart with warm tears,
And also gets rid of your worst fears,
For when lovers unite ‘tis the most happy sight,
And even the world rejoices, in its light.

Come….fall in love..

6. Patience.

In this super fast world we see,
Everything but patience to be,
It is this that causes all evil,
For impatience is the name,
Of the son of devil,
The fruit of patience is sweet you see,
To realize this you should wait for thee,
For impatience often ends in misery.
There are times you feel like stripping your gears,
And pressure surmounts you with your greatest fears,
Idle your engine and take a deep breath,
Think of the one with the noble cause,
And for once you’ll know that even this will come to pass.
And when you are done with,
Take time to rest,
Think of the person,
Who loves you the best,
The ache will then cease to be,
For memories rejuvenates your inner being,
Calm and cool now proceed to your work,
Within matter of time it will be over, you don’t know how,
That’s the power of patience, my friend you see,
It gives your brain free RAM memory,
So that’s all I would like to add my friend,
As I’ve run out of words to bend,
I must be patient, I am a poet you see,
Some day I might actually complete this parody.
To be continued….

5. Compassion.

In this world of dire status,
No one knows what fate awaits us;
Today’s grim and tomorrows cold,
If at all we do make it, alive and bold.
The only thing that is the need of the hour,
Is compassion and not power,
For power breaks hearts and compassion mends,
And its giver, to heaven it sends,
So my friends be compassionate,
And design for yourself a beautiful fate,
Live your life to the max,
And let not anyone make it lax,
Live life wise, live life good,
So that on judgment day if you should,
Take your stand and look up to god,
And say “I’ve done all I could”.
Then the most beautiful of things will come to pass,
Gods will give you a standing applause,
So this is the power of compassion you see,
It conquers other people by subtracting thee,
So in the end if all you have is love,
Give it to people who are doing without it, somehow,
Then you shall see the beauty of things,
For you shall then see beauty in everything.
Love life--- king size .
So people , live and let live.

4. Support

In this world where everything’s material,
It lacks people, who are genial,
So my friend, my sister, my brother,
Help everyone and help each other,
For support bridges the gap between people,
It makes them good, it makes them supple,
Good people are hard to find you see,
So set a fine example for others to be,
You may think that just by your cause,
You may not be able to suffice the lot,
But causes are important you see,
People live with them,
Prime example is me.

3. Myself.

I am a person, whom no one can see;
There lies my sorrow, my fraternity,
I try to be good; I try to do good,
But end up like a monster behind a hood,
‘tis my body, you see, all wrapped up in hairs;
Prevents people from viewing the person who cares;
So people I tell you in this poem;
Who dwells inside this eerie home;
It’s a kind person as you’ll see,
Who loves people, and will happy be,
Just knowing the fact that his goodwill you see,
But of late this person is very much sad,
Having none to turn to has made his good heart, go bad,
So inwardly he suffers the silent pain,
In the worlds most cruel of all games,
The game is tough and the player sore,
With none to turn to, the life’s a big big bore,
So here he lies, waiting as ever;
Will there be a day as sweet as a flower;
With this note I end my each day,
I am a happy person if today,
I’ve laughed, given or forgiven;
Laughing o’mine is superficial you see,
With a heavy heart, you just can’t be,
Who you think you ought to be,
If giving’s good, I do like to give,
But there are reasons people have why they shouldn’t take a gift from me,
They think I’m bad, it adds to the pain,
But what I do shall not go in vain,
I’ve tried before, and I shall try again,
Just to hang on to this game,
The day shall come when I shall have fame,
And I might just win in the game.
So dear people, I beg of you,
Give me a chance,
I will show you that I too,
Can make a difference in your life.
All that I want is a piece of your heart;
The smallest one with which you can part;
I shall cling there till my soul departs.

2. Friend.

They say a fool is his own best friend,
Which I dare not defend,
But there’s the happiness fools derive,
At the cost of a real friend,
There are some days when I’d like to be one,
But life’s cruel, it sees the pun,
And when I look up to myself, I see none.
If I could at least wish,
Heartlessness is what I could do with,
For heart is the main source of sorrow you see,
And with none, a zombie I could be,
With no responsibilities comes no hurt,
No friends to breach your trust,
So here I raise my hands to heaven,
If at least I’ve done some good to my brethren,
Give me a wish lord, give it to me;
Strip me of my heart and take me to thee.

1. Solitude...

Here I am today with no friends to lean on,
Those who I’ve trusted with my life are long before me gone,
So here I wait, and curse my fate,
Was it a mistake to be compassionate?
I’d try to be less though,
It makes my weak heart ache,
Friends, parents and siblings with each passing day, break;
A part of my heart, a little of me;
Little do they know without them, it’s them, not me;
So here I am, and with me, my heart,
Which is fifty percent powder and fifty percent hard,
I do not know how long I can carry on,
Sooner or later even I shall be gone.
So my dear friends, remember this,
Make the maximum of this person as long as he is,
So here I say what I want you to do,
I don’t even know if it gets through to you,
All I could do is to wait and wait,
Till the day gives its judgment away.
Then I shall be happy, not in heaven though,
But that’s the closest where I can go,
If only I did get some shoulder to lean on,
I might have made it to heaven, who knows!
So now I thank you all my dear friends,
For not being there for me when I needed the men,
I thank you profusely; I thank you the most,
For giving life to the poet who I didn’t know,
Now my days of solitude disperse,
I think I’ve found someone who’d help me converse,
If not with others, with myself though,
And always who’s there for me wherever I go.
